Maximum Strength
A Ret Gel 0.1%
A high-potency, alcohol-based gel formulation designed for oily skin and severe concerns. This is the strongest standard concentration of Tretinoin available.
High Potency Action
0.1% is the peak strength. It forces rapid cell turnover to clear stubborn, persistent acne and smooth deep textural issues faster than lower doses.
Targeted Oil Control
The alcohol-based gel formula cuts through grease and significantly reduces sebum production, making it the superior choice for very oily skin.
Fast Absorption
Lightweight and non-clogging. It dries instantly on the skin without leaving the heavy or sticky residue often associated with creams.
CRITICAL: Pregnancy Warning
DO NOT USE this medicine if you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. Tretinoin is teratogenic (can cause severe birth defects).
High Irritation Potential
This is 0.1% Gel—the strongest and most drying formulation.
- Redness, significant peeling, and stinging are expected side effects.
- Strict Sun Protection: SPF 30+ daily is mandatory.
- No Waxing: Do not wax treated areas; skin will tear.
Strict Application Protocol
Cleanse & Dry Completely
Wash with a mild cleanser. Wait 20-30 minutes. Applying 0.1% gel to damp skin will cause severe burning and irritation.
Tiny Amount
Use a pea-sized amount for the entire face. Do not spot treat. Using more will not clear acne faster—it will only damage your moisture barrier.
Moisturize Heavily
Because this gel is alcohol-based and drying, follow up with a hydrating moisturizer to prevent excessive peeling.
Expected Side Effects
Side effects are most severe in the first 2-4 weeks as your skin adapts to this high strength.
- ✓ Significant peeling/flaking
- ✓ Erythema (Redness)
- ✓ Burning sensation upon application
- ✓ Increased sensitivity to wind/cold
Frequently Asked Questions
Who should use the 0.1% Gel?
+
This is best suited for individuals with very oily, resilient skin or severe acne that has not responded to lower strengths (0.025% or 0.05%). If you have dry or sensitive skin, this formulation may be too drying.
What is the “Purge”?
+
Acne may appear worse before it gets better. This is the gel rapidly bringing deep impurities to the surface. It is temporary and usually clears up after a few weeks. Do not stop treatment unless irritation is unbearable.
Can I use scrubs or toners?
+
Avoid them. Do not use alcohol-based toners, physical scrubs, or other exfoliating acids (AHA/BHA) while using this gel. The 0.1% strength provides enough exfoliation on its own; adding more can damage your skin barrier.
