The Melasma Specialist
Melalite Forte 4%
A prescription-strength depigmenting cream containing Hydroquinone 4%. Designed for the targeted, short-term treatment of moderate to severe hyperpigmentation and melasma.
Melanin Blockade
Inhibits the activity of tyrosinase, the primary enzyme your body needs to create pigment. This effectively shuts down the production of dark spots at the source.
Targeted Correction
Specifically formulated for stubborn melasma (hormonal patches), sun spots, and deep post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation left by acne or injury.
Reversible Action
The lightening effect is maintained only with use. Sun exposure will reactivate pigment cells, causing spots to return. Strict sun protection is mandatory.
WARNING: Long-Term Use Risk
Do not use for more than 4-5 months continuously.
Long-term use can lead to Exogenous Ochronosis, a rare but permanent blue-black darkening of the skin. If you see no improvement after 2 months, discontinue use.
Extreme Sun Sensitivity & Interactions
- Strict SPF: Sun exposure will reverse the effects instantly. You must use SPF 30+ daily, even indoors.
- Drug Interaction: Do not use with Benzoyl Peroxide or Hydrogen Peroxide products. This combination causes temporary skin staining.
- Pregnancy: Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
How to Use Safely
Step 1: The Patch Test (Mandatory)
Before facial use, apply a tiny amount behind your ear or on your inner arm. Wait 24 hours. If severe itching, blistering, or swelling occurs, DO NOT use this product. Mild redness is normal.
Cleanse & Dry
Gently wash your face with a mild, non-medicated cleanser. Pat dry.
Spot Application Only
Apply a thin layer only to the dark patches. Do not apply to normal, unaffected skin as this will cause unwanted lightening (halo effect). Avoid eyes and mouth.
Wash Hands
Wash your hands thoroughly immediately after application to prevent the skin on your fingertips from lightening.
Common Side Effects
Mild side effects are common as your skin adjusts.
Mild stinging or burning
Redness
Dryness and peeling
Itching
Stop immediately and contact a doctor if you experience severe blistering, skin cracking, or any blue-black darkening of the skin.
